Hey Internet Friends,
Today I have decided to make a top 5 things top do on a rainy day. Hope you enjoy.
1. Read a book -I don't know about you but I always have a pile of books I've not go around to reading, so reading is a perfect rainy day activity.
2. Tidy - Messy desk, cupboard or even entire room? Might as well use a rainy day for tidying.
3. Organise - I often enjoy organising and sorting through makeup, clothes, random documents and stationary to keep everything in order so I know where it all is.
4. Walk - If it's not raining too heavily, walks out in the fresh air are always lovely.
5. Watch a film - Curl up with a cuppa, snuggle down and watch your favourite film.

Life Tips
Hey Internet Friends,
So today I plan on sharing with you some of my top tips for everyday life.
1) Study Hard
Working hard in school helps set you up for life. That extra boost now is something that you'll be thankful for in the long run.
2) Prioritise
I am not particularly good at this one as I am forever getting distracted, but it's important to always try to prioritise your daily tasks in order to make the most of your time.
3) Tidy and stay organised
Tidy desk space is great for when you're working hard. It means you have more space and less distractions to worry about. By staying organised, you will always know where things are kept and so won't have to waste time searching for hours.
4) Relax
Relaxation is important to help your body restore itself, to provide you with energy later on so you don't get worn out.
5) Socialise
Spending time with people is a great way to de-stress and is an easy way to relax.
Hope these help.

Valentines Date Ideas
Hey Internet Friends,
So, as Valentines Day isn't too far away, I thought I'd help you with date ideas for the special day.
Cinema Date - A simple classic but always a lovely idea with someone you know well. Maybe not the best for a first date as it can be difficult to get to know someone in a cinema.
Coffee date - Another classic but a much better first date idea as it's a great way to get to know someone. The public atmosphere and background noise can help reduce some of the awkwardness of a first date. This date is also a great idea for people who have been together for a while as it's nice to just sit and talk over a coffee.
Movie Night - This is always great fun and is a much cheaper alternative to going out. Snacks are always much cheaper from he shop than a cinema and you can pause the movie for toilet breaks and food whenever.
Art Gallery - A lovely place to go for creative minds. Peaceful and a great way to connect with someone on a different level. This is especially brilliant if you are on a low budget as most art galleries have free entry and just ask for a small donation.
Dinner - Eating out is always nice if you have a higher budget but is best for a couple who have been together for a fair amount of time. Feeling creative? Cook dinner at home for your partner! Or cook a meal together. A great way to connect and have a good laugh. Even if it all goes terribly wrong, you can always order take out!
Hope this gives you some inspiration.

Quotes
Hey Internet Friends,
Happy New Year! As you will notice over the next few months, I have decided to alter the layout of this blog. But, on with todays post, New Years themed quotes.
'And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been' - Rainer Maria Rilke
'I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're doing something.' - Neil Garman
'Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.' - Oprah Winfrey
'Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering "It will be happier".' - Alfred Lord Tennyson
'Every time you tear a leaf off a calendar you present a new place for new ideas and progress' - Charles Kettering

Present Ideas
Hey Internet Friends,
So, Christmas is quickly approaching and so is the time to buy gifts for people. Here are a few ideas for different types of budgets.
Low Budget
One of my go-to presents for people this year is shortbread that I will bake myself to save money. It's simple to do and you can find the recipe here. If you're no good at baking or just don't have the time, festive tubes of chocolate are fairly cheap and are loved by most people.
Medium Budget
Things like bath products, makeup and body sprays always go down well as presents as they're so useful. Just make sure no one has any allergies to certain brands for things like makeup and bath products.
High Budget
I only tend to spend large amounts on close family members and often buy clothes, jewellery or watches. These types of gifts are quite personal so I'd advise only buying them for someone whose likes you know incredibly well.
Hope this helps some of you out.

Winter Buys
Hey Internet Friends,
Today I will be sharing with you some of my top buys of this winter so far. I've mainly been doing Christmas shopping and so haven't bought much for myself recently so apologies for how short this list will be.
Glamour magazine - The main reason I bought this was for the Nails Inc. nail varnish it came with and for £2 it was a bargain. I've really enjoyed flicking through it so far; who knows, this may end up a monthly purchase.
Batman Jumper - I bought this jumper from Primark for just £8 and it's so soft and comfy. I've worn it so many times already as it's so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans for a casual but fairly stylish look. I would provide you with a link to it, however I can't seem to find it on their website (it's Khaki Green if you want to try and find it in store).
Vitamin E Moisture Cream - This moisturiser has become my winter staple this year. It's so thick and creamy and is perfect for keeping your skin soft and hydrated, even in the freezing cold wind. For £18 for a 100ml tub (which will last you ages) it's most definitely worth every penny.
Sleek Semi-Matte Lipstick - I bought this lipstick in the shade Private Booth 1002 and have loved it. Because it's semi-matte, it doesn't dry out your lips and is relatively long lasting. For £5.49 it's a bargain (plus at the time of me writing this post, Superdrug has a 3 for 2 offer on makeup where you can get a free pom-pom keyring).
Goddess of Faith Highlighter - I purchased this highlighter in the shade Goddess of Love after seeing amazing reviews for it online and it has most definitely lived up to expectation. It costs just £4.99 and is also available currently in the 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - Again, another product that's currently in the Superdrug 3 for 2 offer that's absolutely amazing. This concealer gives really good coverage for the entire day and works amazingly with the Rimmel Wake me Up foundation. It cost me just £5.49.
I hope you enjoyed this post, feel free to comment things that you have bought so far this winter.

Favourite Hair Styles
Hey Internet Friends,
Today I thought I'd share with you my favourite go-to hairstyles for everyday.
I always love a classic high ponytail. Sleek and sophisticated, this minimal effort style always looks great. This tends to be my go-to style if I'm running late for something or just can't be bothered to put too much effort into doing my hair.
Recently, I have been putting my hair in a bun a lot. Buns are so versatile and can be put on the top, back or side of your head. They can easily be accessorised with bows or be made to look cute and messy.
Another go-to hair style of mine is plaits. Again, they're so easy to style in a variety of ways as there is so many different types of plaits. If you are struggling to do them, there are tons of YouTube tutorials to help you out.
A final one of my favourite hair styles is the half-up, half-down one as it's just so simple and perfect for adding a bit of volume to your do. It also really helps keep your hair out of your face as well as helping to frame it.
So, what are your favourite hair styles? What hairstyles do you choose on a daily basis? Let me know by commenting or through social media (links on my contact me page).

Tips For Going Back to School
Hey Internet Friends,
So the time has come when the summer holidays are almost over and it's nearly time to go back to school. But don't panic; I'm here with my top tips for going back to school.
One thing I find helps me with school is packing my bag the night before. I also get out my clothes and shoes the night before so I don't have to run around trying to find everything right before I need to leave. This way I can stay much more relaxed in the morning.
Another thing I find helps me is colour-coding my timetable and keeping a copy at home as well as at school. This way it's so much simpler to know what lessons you have at a quick glance.
I have a weekly plan that I fill in with what homework I need to do and when to ensure I don't miss deadlines and limit stress. This also helps me schedule days where I can relax or go out with friends.
Finally, I like to have these stationary items either at home or with me at school in my pencil case as they always come in handy:

How to cope with waiting for Results Day
Hey Internet Friends,
So, now exams are all over, what do you do while waiting these two never ending months for results day? Here are some of my tips and ideas.
One thing I've done is create a list of everything I want/need to get done while I have time off. From organising my room, to getting rid of old revision and taking up a new hobby, making sure my time is full is a brilliant way of keeping me distracted so I don't get as worried or stressed.
Another thing you can do is make plans with friends and family. Days out will again keep you distracted as well as give you something fun to do. Going shopping or going to the cinema are both great ideas as they keep you out of the house.
Finally, you can read a load of books, watch a TV series and/or watch a bunch of films you've always wanted to in order to help you chill out and stay relaxed. Time off is perfect for this and you deserve to relax after all the exam stress.
So, what are you doing to help you cope with pre-results stress? Have these ideas helped?

Thoughtful Thursday - Love
Hey Internet Friends,
Todays idea for Thoughtful Thursday is courtesy of my amazing boyfriend. As I am in a relationship, my feelings about love might seem slightly biased, but everyone has different opinions.
What is love?
To me love is the feeling of safety when someone you love is holding you tight while you're at your weakest. Someone who sticks by you no matter what is always important; everyone needs someone they can turn to when things happen.
Young Love
I hate it when people say "You're too young to be in love". I believe you can fall in love with anyone at any point in your life. It doesn't matter how old or young you are.
I believe love is forever. It's so strong and to me a bond of love can never be broken. It's something that will always last, even through the difficult times.
I hope you enjoyed that. Let me know what your opinion on love is.
Love and Hugs,

P.S. Sending love to all those effected by the shootings in Orlando. This world is a cruel place.

Revision Tips
Hey Internet Friends,
For me, exams have already begun so I thought I'd share with you some of my top tips for revision.
1) Writing and rewriting your notes.
This is a personal favourite of mine as I find this the most effective way of learning things. It's so simple and quickly helps you remember vital information.
2) Posters
Creating posters to stick around your home can also be very useful, particularly if it's equations and/or diagrams you need to memorise. These are also slightly more creative and fun to make.
3) Flash Cards
Now, I personally don't often use flash cards, however I have a load of friends who do. Easy enough to make and effective if they're right for you.
4) Other methods
Some other methods you could use are:
Creating PowerPoints
Completing past papers
Quizzing yourself with friends and family
I hope this helps some of you.

Thoughtful Thursday - Animal Testing
Hey Internet Friends,
Today's topic for Thoughtful Thursday is animal testing. Just a quick note before I begin, no images will be used on this post as I can understand how upsetting and disturbing they can be.
First of all, I agree with testing on animals for medical research if there is no alternative option available. Ground breaking results in the medical world can come from testing on animals and save so many lives.
On the other hand however, I am against testing cosmetics on animals. So many brands manage to make safe products without testing on animals so why should others still be allowed to test? As much as I love cosmetics they are not an essential thing for survival. I always try to check my products haven't been tested on animals as it's cruel, wrong and unnecessary.
I'd love to hear what your opinions are about animal testing and whether you try to avoid products that have been tested on animals.

Thoughtful Thursday - The Internet
Hey Internet Friends,
So, it's Thoughtful Thursday again and this time it's about the internet.
Ok, call me a typical teen but I love the internet. It's so nice to be able to find out whatever I want with just a couple of clicks. People may say we rely too heavily on the internet but think about how much knowledge we can gain from it; it's amazing. Also, without the internet, we wouldn't have social media and so wouldn't be able to run blogs or YouTube channels. Imagine that, no YouTube! The internet is also brilliant for discovering so many new things. It helps gives us a quick and easy way to research different symptoms if you're ill which helps if it's a while before you can go and see a doctor. The final thing I love about the internet is that you can go online shopping! I love browsing through my favourite stores online, especially when I'm planning a shopping trip with my besties!
Sorry that this isn't particularly long but at least it's better than nothing. I will be starting my exams very soon and so am trying to prepare a whole load of posts that I can schedule for you guys. Hopefully I'll be able to stick to my posting schedule as I have currently all year (GO ME!!) which doesn't happen often.

- 4tbsp caster sugar
- 110g softened butter
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 150g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 175g plain chocolate chips (or Smarties/M&M's)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Line the base of a round tin (about 10-12 inches wide) with greaseproof paper.
- Cream together dark sugar, caster sugar and butter until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Combine the flour with bicarbonate of soda and stir into the mix. The dough should be fairly stiff.
- Mix in the chocolate chips.
- Spread or pat the dough onto the tin and bake for 15-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
I hope you enjoy trying this recipe and find it as easy to make and as yummy as I do.

Thoughtful Thursday - School Pressure
Hey Internet Friends,
So, it's getting to that time of year (if you're in a year group that has to do exams) where suddenly all your deadlines for things like coursework have appeared right in front of you. All you're teachers are expecting things from you and want you to prioritise their subject. How do you deal with this?
1) Plan ~ Keep a diary or calendar nearby at all times so you can note down all your exams and deadlines. Then, create timetables for each day with what you need to get done. If you struggle to stick to timings, just create a to-do list each day. This ensures you don't forget anything and don't leave it till last minute.
2) Breaks ~ You must give yourself time off. You can't expect to get a ton of work done in a single day. Break it up and you'll find it all so much easier to manage. During breaks do things you enjoy.
3) Mindfulness ~ If you are a particularly anxious or stressed person, try mindfulness. I have created a post about it before (click here) as I found it something that has really helped me cope with stress.
Hope this has helped some of you. Anything else that helps some of you, let me know through social media or below in the comments.

Springtime buys
Hey Internet Friends,
So, we're in spring now so I thought I'd share with you some of my recent springtime buys!
The first thing I recently bought was a W7 Power Puff blender sponge. I picked this up from a W7 outlet store and so it was fairly cheap, however the RRP is £5.59 (but it's just £3.40 from Amazon). You dampen this sponge before use and I use it for my foundation each morning. It's amazing! It gives brilliant coverage without caking it on and so looks very natural.
The next thing I bought was a pair of boyfriend cut ripped jeans. As the weather is just starting to warm up, these are perfect for a stylish yet practical look. Along with the jeans, I bought a floral shirt, to add some colour to my wardrobe and get me feeling that springtime vibe. Again, I bought these from an outlet store so unfortunately I can't give you a link to them. However, there are tons of different styles of ripped jeans and shirts in quite a lot of clothes stores o you can easily find one to suit you.
I love books and I also love looking round charity shops, so this next item will be no surprise. I picked up a copy of 'Labyrinth' by Kate Mosse. The cover drew me to it and as I began reading the blurb I felt fascinated and so had to buy it! It's always nice to have a book to read, especially as the weather gets warmer so you can sit outside. I haven't began reading it yet but I will either post a review or post on social media about it when I have.
The next thing I bought was an app. Well, I say bought but it was actually free. It's a 30 Day Firm Butt Challenge which I thought would be perfect to help me get ready for summer! I have really enjoyed doing the challenges as it just takes about 5 minutes at the most each day and they aren't too strenuous. There's pictures and instructions to show you how to do each thing which I found incredibly helpful. You can also turn notifications on for this app so there's no excuse for forgetting!
The final thing I purchased was a Black Contrast Zip Pocket Structured Bag from New Look, which I am using everyday and absolutely loving. It has different zipped sections so you can keep things like your phone safe. I also love the fact that it has a strap to go across your body (which is removable), and handles so it's easy to carry in your preferred way. Due to it being black and cream, it goes with any outfit, making it a perfect go to bag.
So, what have you guys been buying recently? Has this given you some shopping inspiration? Either comment below or let me know in social media.

P.S. I am planning on using Tumblr and Twitter more often so follow me on there to keep up to date!
