Springtime buys

Hey Internet Friends,
So, we're in spring now so I thought I'd share with you some of my recent springtime buys!

The first thing I recently bought was a W7 Power Puff blender sponge. I picked this up from a W7 outlet store and so it was fairly cheap, however the RRP is £5.59 (but it's just £3.40 from Amazon). You dampen this sponge before use and I use it for my foundation each morning. It's amazing! It gives brilliant coverage without caking it on and so looks very natural.

The next thing I bought was a pair of boyfriend cut ripped jeans. As the weather is just starting to warm up, these are perfect for a stylish yet practical look. Along with the jeans, I bought a floral shirt, to add some colour to my wardrobe and get me feeling that springtime vibe. Again, I bought these from an outlet store so unfortunately I can't give you a link to them. However, there are tons of different styles of ripped jeans and shirts in quite a lot of clothes stores o you can easily find one to suit you.

I love books and I also love looking round charity shops, so this next item will be no surprise. I picked up a copy of 'Labyrinth' by Kate Mosse. The cover drew me to it and as I began reading the blurb I felt fascinated and so had to buy it! It's always nice to have a book to read, especially as the weather gets warmer so you can sit outside. I haven't began reading it yet but I will either post a review or post on social media about it when I have.

The next thing I bought was an app. Well, I say bought but it was actually free. It's a 30 Day Firm Butt Challenge which I thought would be perfect to help me get ready for summer! I have really enjoyed doing the challenges as it just takes about 5 minutes at the most each day and they aren't too strenuous. There's pictures and instructions to show you how to do each thing which I found incredibly helpful. You can also turn notifications on for this app so there's no excuse for forgetting!

The final thing I purchased was a Black Contrast Zip Pocket Structured Bag from New Look, which I am using everyday and absolutely loving. It has different zipped sections so you can keep things like your phone safe. I also love the fact that it has a strap to go across your body (which is removable), and handles so it's easy to carry in your preferred way. Due to it being black and cream, it goes with any outfit, making it a perfect go to bag.

So, what have you guys been buying recently? Has this given you some shopping inspiration? Either comment below or let me know in social media.

Late Night Writing

Hey Internet Friends,
This is something I wrote quite a while ago when I couldn't sleep. I hope you like it. Feel free to give me any comments (positive or negative) about what you think and how I could improve it.

Late at night she gazes through the window, marvelling at the beauty speckled in the sky. They appear dainty, delicate and dazzling but are really giant, burning, masses of gas. Safe: the feeling she gets as she surveys the night sky above her. People say we are all made of stars. She loves the idea of this; the fact we're all created from something of beauty. Perchance it represents the good in everyone, the belief that everyone has the power to be happy, pleasant and caring. Maybe it's the reason why she feels at home whenever she sees the jewels in the sky. Or perhaps it's just a nice thought that fills her with hope.
Either way, the night sky is a magical mystery that hold so many hopes and dreams.

Easter Decorations

Hey Internet Friends,
So, Easter is quickly approaching us this year and is much earlier than usual. So to help you prepare, today's post is about different types of decorations you can make!

1) Bunny Bunting
First, either find a bunny template online or draw your own. Cut this out several times on paper or card and decorate. Then, glue on a pom-pom for a tail. Next, hole punch either side of the bunnies and attach together using string or ribbon. Hang up and enjoy your bunting!

2) Paper Mache Egg
First of all, blow up a balloon roughly to the size you want your egg to be. Then stick ripped up pieces of newspaper to it using PVA glue. When the entire balloon is covered in a couple of layers, leave to dry. Once dry, pop the balloon and remove from the egg if possible. Decorate the egg however you want.

3) Easter tree
Find some sticks and twigs (preferably some with branches). Knock out any insects and then arrange in a vase. Hang Easter decorations off the branches and you're done! This works really well as a centrepiece for a table.

4) Hanging Eggs
Cut out several egg shapes from paper or card. Decorate using anything you want. Next, hole punch the top and loop through some ribbon. Finally, hang your Easter eggs from the ceiling.

Hope these suggestions have given you some inspiration. Still stuck? Websites like Etsy and Pinterest are brilliant for even more ideas!

Thoughtful Thursday - Gay Marriage

Hey Internet Friends,
Before I begin I would just like I say I'm very passionate about this topic. I'm bisexual and there are members of my family and friends who also aren't heterosexual. I completely support gay marriage. If two people are in love, I don't see why it should matter what gender they are. Just because marriage traditionally means bringing/joking together a man and a woman, it shouldn't mean we stick to that. Times change. People are more open and more educated about different sexualities. Why should some people be disallowed to so something, just because of who they love? It's their life, why should it matter to anyone else? I'd love to hear what your opinions are, so either comment or message me using the links on the contact me page.
