Top 5

Hey Internet Friends,
Today I have decided to make a top 5 things top do on a rainy day. Hope you enjoy.

1. Read a book -I don't know about you but I always have a pile of books I've not go around to reading, so reading is a perfect rainy day activity.

2. Tidy - Messy desk, cupboard or even entire room? Might as well use a rainy day for tidying.

3. Organise - I often enjoy organising and sorting through makeup, clothes, random documents and stationary to keep everything in order so I know where it all is.

4. Walk - If it's not raining too heavily, walks out in the fresh air are always lovely.

5. Watch a film - Curl up with a cuppa, snuggle down and watch your favourite film.

Book review

Hey Internet Friends,
Due to exams coming up, posts may be slightly late (like this one) so I apologise in advance. I will, however, make up for lack of posts when possible. Now, on with todays book review.

Title: Skulduggery Pleasant
Author: Derek Landy
Blurb: (From Wikipedia) Twelve-year-old Stephanie Edgley is tired of her boring life. But when a man breaks into her recently deceased uncle's house and tries to kill her, she is saved by a funny, arrogant, fireball-throwing, 400-year-old detective named Skulduggery Pleasant, who just so happens to be a walking skeleton, and she is thrust into a world of danger, murder and magic. Taking the new name of Valkyrie Cain, she partners up with Skulduggery to solve her uncle's murder, and to prevent the devious Nefarian Serpine from obtaining the Sceptre of Ancients, a mystical weapon that can slay gods. The sceptre is a powerful weapon which can be used to defeat and overcome the world and bring back the Faceless Ones.
Rating: 8/10
Comment: Loved them when I was younger and still do now. Brilliant characters that have different personalities. Exciting to read but aren't too complex. Yes, the book as well as the rest of the series is meant for children but as a girl in her late teens these are still brilliant, even my Dad enjoyed them.

Album/Song Review

Hey Internet Friends,
Here is April's song review. Enjoy and feel free to recommend songs or albums for me to review next month.

Name: Sign of the Times
Artist: Harry Styles
Rating: 10/10
Comment: After waiting for Harry's solo music for so long, this song makes it all worth it. It's got such a powerful and meaningful message behind it but is so easy and relaxing to listen to. Absolutely adore it.

Top 5

Hey Internet Friends,
So today I will be sharing with you the top 5 famous people who have inspired me in one way or another (not in any particular order).

1) Stana Katic - One of the stars of my favourite TV show, Castle. Stana Katic played a kickass NYPD detective and for me is a strong example of a powerful woman.

2) George Orwell - After reading Nineteen Eighty-Four I was inspired to take a slightly stronger interest in politics and the world around me, as well as gaining the confidence to voice my political opinions. So inspiring, especially since his work is still relevant today.

3) Harry Styles - My celebrity crush who is inspiring due to his kindheartedness and still being so down to earth.

4) Zoe Sugg - She helped me understand panic attacks and one of her videos where she is so honest and open about them inspired me as it showed I'm not alone.

5) Brendon Urie - An insanely talented musician whose song Girls Girls Boys inspired me and gave me the courage to come out as bisexual. The line 'girls love girls and boys' was just the perfect boost I needed.

Hope you enjoyed.

Life Tips

Hey Internet Friends,

Exam season is quickly approaching and so is the huge amount of revision, and seemingly never ending school work. Because of this, I'm guessing it's likely that a load of us will be starting to feel the stress, so today I will be sharing with you some top life tips to help you stay more relaxed and calm.

1) Try to embrace stress - use the stress to push yourself to be more productive.

2) Try to schedule what needs to be done to help stop procrastination.

3) Take time out to relax - yes getting work done is important but so is relaxation.

4) Drink plenty of water - dehydration will get you nowhere.

5) Try to keep work away from your relaxing space if possible - even if this is as simple as sitting in one room to study and relaxing in another.

Hope these are useful to some of you, any more tips feel free to let me know.
